Finding a home is a task in and of itself; now combine that with a tedious application process and no human guidance, and the relocation journey can seem overwhelming. Nik is the Broker and Owner of Ascend Real Estate & Property Management. He has been managing properties since 2010, and works diligently to offer the best service possible. Being a rental owner himself, Nik is familiar with the needs of the landlord and tenant through first-hand experience. Nik works directly with staff members to ensure a quality relationship between the owners, property manager, and tenants. This results in a high return on investment for the owner, long-term, happy tenants, and a stress-free environment for all.
Ashley is the General Manager of Ascend Property Management. She runs all day-to-day operations of the company and assists new owners with the process of switching from other companies, or using a property manager for the first time. Ashley is extremely knowledgeable of rental rates and the ever-changing market in Bakersfield. She will compile a list of all comparable rental homes in town for a comprehensive financial analysis exclusive to your home! She also answers maintenance requests from tenants, and schedules our in-house maintenance workers to complete high quality work, for a lower price than outside contractors.
MacKenzie is the Marketing Specialist for Ascend Real Estate & Property Management. Assisting with everything from designing to implementing marketing materials, and working with other departments to maintain a fun, effective work environment for all, MacKenzie is truly a people person. McKenzie strives to create simple, yet effective ways for tenants and owners to understand and utilize all our company has to offer.
Kristine is the Bookkeeper and Human Resources of Ascend Real Estate & Property Management. She handles all things financial, from tenants paying rent, to owner draws, and everything in between. She assists other staff members with customer care all while maintaining a fun, caring work environment for the whole office. Kristine strives to help all departments communicate seamlessly to create a pleasant experience for clients. She is eager to assist owners and tenants alike in any way she can.
Apryl is our Leasing Agent and primarily focuses on marketing properties and leasing them out in a timely fashion, while also providing a personal touch for tenants. She creates and posts high-quality photos and information on over 30 of the most highly visited websites for rentals. She personally answers questions for potential tenants, while keeping the owners financial and personal needs in mind. Once an application is received, she requests and reviews background checks, credit checks, and other personal information to ensure a high-quality tenant for each property. She also completes move out inspections to protect the owner from any unnessesary out of pocket expenses.
Vanessa is our receptionist and first point of contact for phone calls and visitors to Ascend. She is always eager to help anyone she can, and greets everyone with a smiling, cheerful attitude. Vanessa makes sure that all of our properties are advertised on the proper websites to ensure the most exposure and keeps our website as up to date as possible, changing it up to 5 times per day! Vanessa is also English-Spanish bilingual and able to offer support to our Spanish speaking customers.
William is our Lead Maintenance Technician. He is quick to respond to all maintenance requests and gets compliments on his quality workmanship and optimistic attitude daily! He is skilled in basic maintenance issues, all the way to full unit remodels. With over a decade of experience in various maintenance tasks, William offers support to our maintenance team by providing hands-on training and strength when a tough job calls for an extra set of hands. Williams is a indispensable leader to our maintenance team.
Jerry is an experienced member of our Maintenance Team. Jerry prides himself on his expertise in handiwork and great customer relations. He is very self-motivated and a quick learner! Jerry receives positive reviews from all who come in contact with him due to his cheerful demeanor and excellent maintenance knowledge. Jerry puts his best foot forward for tenants and owners alike, and is such a priceless addition to our team.
David is our newest member to the Maintenance Team. With a property management background, David is familiar and able to handle large scale projects, as well as daily maintenance requests with ease. David's experience and ability to adapt to any situation make him a true asset to our maintenance team.
